Asciitables is a small and handsome library for python to efficiently deal with ascii tables.

Such tables can be read from PGFplots to create the corresponding plots directly from within LaTeX.

Hyperdock

Hyperdock adds some nice features to the standard dock of Mac OS X. Besides having small window previews by hovering the corresponding dock icon, it supports special previews for iCal and iTunes.

And the best part, as of today, it is still free.

Back in 2007, Maururu posted a nice article on an “open-terminal-here” enhancement for Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5). As this is still working for Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) it’s worth checking it out.
